Brain Injury and Stroke Program

Overview

Patients with brain injuries often present with a variety of physical, cognitive, behavioral, communicative, and/or emotional needs. Following evaluation by the interdisciplinary team, a treatment plan is established to address these issues. Individuals and group therapies are utilized according to need. Brain Injury can be either of a traumatic or non-traumatic nature, such as stroke. The Brain Injury Program accepts patients in different stages of recovery including those who are emerging from a coma as well as individuals with higher levels of functioning who require ongoing medical management, nursing care and rehabilitation.
